Man walking in Nature

Hey There

One of the most important parts of your therapy journey is finding the right provider. While I know that typing some words on a page will not necessarily convince you that I'm that provider for you, I still feel that it is important for you to have at least some information about me.

All About Me

As a licensed professional counselor, my passion is helping individuals learn techniques to manage anxiety, depression, and mood-related symptoms, and heal from trauma and abuse. I believe in the power of therapy to help clients process their experiences and find strength and resilience. My therapeutic style is rooted in creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space for clients to explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors and develop healthy coping strategies. I am dedicated to empowering clients to establish healthy boundaries and cultivate a sense of individuality as these are crucial for healing and personal growth. It brings me great joy to witness my clients' growth and transformation through therapy.

With my approach to therapy, you will find that I do not just sit and stare at you for the duration of each session. We will engage in active, two-way conversations together as I feel that this is a much more effective approach to therapy and strengthening the therapeutic relationship. Also, our time together will not consist of my own agenda. I am here for you and what you want to focus on in therapy.. and I don't want to waste your time.

It is important for you to know that change will not occur unless you are willing and able to do the work. I cannot do the work for you but am so ready and excited to accompany you on your journey.

About
Me

Since I was a young teen, I have worked with people and have always had a strong desire to help others. My specialty is working with adolescents and young adults. I have a lot of fun working with these populations and helping individuals through the many transitions that occur at these ages.

Outside of work, I can be found camping, reading, playing board games, playing video games, or crafting (coloring, papercrafts, wooden models, Legos, diamond painting, etc).

Probably one of the most important things to know about me, is that I'm a proud cat parent to two sweet, fuzzy, playful, and obnoxious kitties who will likely grace us with their presence on camera at times during sessions. Our orange, chonky guy is named Fry, and our small, snuggly, black girl is named Leela (IYKYK).
